KOL Events in Hong Kong: Recruit Verified Creators for Launches and Openings

Invite real-name verified creators to launches, openings and tastings in Hong Kong, then confirm attendance, review drafts, pay and collect posts in one place.

A KOL event in Hong Kong means inviting creators to a product launch, store opening, tasting or experience, where they shoot on site and share it on social media. Sending the invitations is easy. The hard part is knowing who will come, whether the person who turns up is the one you invited, and whether every creator posts as agreed afterwards. On Connector Club, creators are real-name verified by the platform. You invite specific creators through a private campaign, confirm attendance and deliverables in one conversation, collect posts submitted from their linked accounts, and pay only after you confirm completion.

Why events need real-name verification

For an online collaboration, the job is done when the content arrives. An offline event adds a risk: the account on your guest list isn't always the person at the door. Stand-ins, extra plus-ones, or accounts run by a team are hard to spot on the night.

More than 4,800 creators on Connector Club have completed real-name verification (as of August 2026). Identity is checked by the platform, and brands see the creator's display name. Because creators also link their accounts through official Meta, TikTok or YouTube authorisation, both the account you invite and the person behind it are confirmed, so even large offline events run knowing exactly who is showing up.

That's also why event invitations work better inside the platform than across a string of WhatsApp groups: invitations, confirmations, deliverables and payment all stay in one record.

How to recruit creators for an event

From campaign to post-event

  1. Create a private campaignwith limited places, keep it private so only invited creators see it. For open events that need lots of KOCs, a public campaign lets people apply.
  2. Write out the event detailsdate, time, venue, arrival window, whether guests may bring a plus-one, dress code, and what to post afterwards and by when.
  3. Search and invitefilter Influencer Search by platform, category and follower count, add creators to the campaign and click Contact Now.
  4. Confirm attendance and pricecreators reply and quote in the chat. Approving a quotation doesn't charge you. Use Chase Up for anyone who hasn't replied.
  5. Review and publish after the eventcreators upload drafts, you approve them, they publish and submit the post from their linked account.
  6. Confirm completion and payonce each creator has delivered, click Confirm Completion to pay. If you agreed on offline payment, nothing is charged through the platform.

Traditional invitations vs inviting on the platform

Two ways to invite

WhatsApp and email

  • Guest lists come from agencies or old contacts, often without current data
  • Confirmations are scattered, and headcounts go wrong close to the day
  • You identify guests only by handle and profile photo
  • Afterwards you chase each creator for post links and screenshot them

Connector Club

  • Choose guests using official API data
  • Invitations, quotations and confirmations live in each creator's chat history
  • Creators are real-name verified by the platform
  • Creators submit posts from linked accounts, with automated reports (Premium and above)

What to watch on the day and after

Event checklist highlights

  • Re-confirm attendance one or two days before; export the guest list from the platform (Premium and above)
  • Prepare a sign-in sheet and check arriving creators against display names and handles
  • Set up a well-lit spot and leave time for creators to shoot
  • Give creators product information and approved talking points, so no unverified claims slip in
  • Remind creators to turn on the paid partnership label or add #ad
  • Agree in the brief or contract what happens if a creator drops out or you cancel the event
  • Collect post data seven days later to see which creators to invite back

Rewarding event creators

Event rewards can be cash, product or the experience itself, or a combination. Events that offer only a product or service (a tasting, a hotel stay, an experience) can run as a barter campaign on Premium and above; see product seeding. If you need specific posts on specific dates, plan on adding cash. The KOL rate estimator gives a starting point.

On plans: Standard (US$39 a month) lets you work with 50 creators at once, Premium (US$89 a month) with 200 plus list exports, and Pro (US$489 a month) has no limit and a dedicated account manager. See the pricing page.

FAQ

How do I invite KOLs to an event?

Create a campaign on Connector Club with the event details and deliverables, find suitable creators in Influencer Search, add them and click Contact Now. For events with limited places, use a private campaign.

How can I be sure the creator who shows up is the one I invited?

Choose real-name verified creators. Their identity is checked by the platform and their accounts are linked through official authorisation. On the day, check arrivals against display names and handles.

Can brands see a creator's real name?

No. Creators' legal names are never shown to brands; you see their display name, and verification is handled by the platform.

Do I have to pay creators to attend?

It depends on what you ask for. If creators just attend and share freely, product or the experience can be the reward. If you require specific posts on specific dates, cash is usually expected. Your card is charged only after you confirm completion.

What if a creator attends but doesn't post?

Use Chase Up to remind them. If the deliverables aren't met, click Reject Completion with a reason; the work order goes back to the creator, and you aren't charged until you confirm completion.
